Tragic
My Mom was walking her 6lb dog on Wed(sharpsburg neighboorhood). A dog came from behind, grabbed her dog, she tried to beat him off, he grabbed her dog by the neck, continued to shake until her dog was lifeless. We had to put him to sleep yesterday because his spinal cord was severed. It was just her and her dog. |

Sherrif's funding
He said that a car got hit by a big rig on 85 recently and they are waiting to see what county insurance will pay to replace it. If it was not the deputy’s fault why isn’t the big rig’s insurance paying for it? If it is the deputy’s fault them payroll deduct it! |

the police department & sheriff’s office have enough problems finding people to do the job because of poor pay, horrible hours & strenious work conditions! it would be impossible to fill the positions if college degrees & age requirements were put into place. as far as them drinking & driving, REMEMBER we are human too & we do make mistakes! |

I Dont always agree with the umps had a call
this weekend i didnt like but the call was made
they r doing the best they can do we have good umpires for the most part in sharpsburg

Parenting
My daughter is in Middle School and it is so SAD when she ask if someone can spend the night and that parent never bothers to call me (the parent) to find out were their child is, where I live or even who I am. You Parents better WAKE UP I know for a fact some of these kids are not going where they say they are and parents just don’t care. |
Re: DUI Police
Im amazed by people who judge all of the officers who actually do their job by the poor decisions made by a few bad apples in the bunch. There are a lot of Officers who take their job serious and try and lead by example. |

Drunken revelers destroyed the Avery Park pool (throwing broken glass into it) last year and Avery Park is going to start the summer off with a *bring all the alcohol you can consume at our pool* party to reward them for it. Yay. |

DUI Police
Be realistic. The county cannot pay salaries that a degree would require. Most police are upstanding and honest. There are a few bad ones here and there, but for the most part they are very respectable. |
Anti police people
Y’all must have a grudge. Believe me, most cops do a great job. There are a few bad ones here and there. As in every aspect of society. I observed some training at mantracker. I was amazed at how serious they take this. And the skills they possess. |
Umpires
I think the umpires put up with a lot of trash talking. From a spectator listening, I think they should throw more out. As for the lady that got tossed, I was there, she wasn’t loud, but she was warned twice. You don’t have to be loud to be heard. |
